We, the business company Weyland Stahlhandel s.r.o. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company" or "we"), as the controller of personal data hereby inform our customers, business partners, users of the website as well as other subjects whose personal data we process about the processing of personal data and the principles of the protection of privacy in the Company.


Hereinafter you will learn in particular:


1.         what your personal data we will process;

2.         for what purposes and in what manner we will process your personal data;

3.         to whom your personal data may be transmitted;

4.         for what period of time we will process your personal data; and

5.         what your rights are in respect of the protection of your personal data.


We state that during the processing of personal data we proceed in compliance with the basic principles of the processing of personal data, so in particular:


  • we process personal data in relation to the data subjects correctly, legally and in a transparent manner;
  • we collect personal data only for specific, expressly stated and legitimate purposes and we do not further process them in a manner which is inconsistent with these purposes (further processing for the purposes of archiving in the public interest, for the purposes of scientific or historical research or for statistic purposes is not regarded as being inconsistent with the original purposes);
  • we process only such personal data that are reasonable, relevant and restricted to the necessary extent in relation to the purpose for which they are processed;  
  • we process only such personal data that are accurate and updated, if necessary; for this purpose we will always take all the reasonable measures in order to immediately erase or rectify personal data which are inaccurate with regard to the purposes for which they are processed;
  • we will save personal data in a form allowing for the identification of data subjects for the period not longer than necessary for the purposes for which they are processed;
  • we process personal data in such a manner which will ensure proper security of personal data including their protection by means of suitable technical or organizational measures against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage;
  • we are responsible for complying with all the above mentioned principles and the compliance with the relevant generally binding regulations, especially Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/ES (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR").

1) Scope of the processing of personal data


We process data which you have provided to us, possibly data legitimately obtained from the publicly accessible public registers. The data that are usually processed by us include but are not limited to:


a)         your name and surname / a trade name

c)         an address or a registered office

d)        a date of birth, an identification number and a taxpayer identification number

e)         a phone number, or

f)         an e-mail


In some of our premises (especially in shops or warehouses) camera recordings may be made and subsequently processed for the reasons of the protection of the Company property or safety; in the particular premises, an information label / a pictograph is always used to inform about the placement of cameras; the records, if made, are deleted continuously and immediately.

2) Purpose of the processing


We use the data you provide to us for the following purposes:


  • a negotiation about concluding a contract with you or a person for which you act / which you represent as well as for the performance of a concluded contract and the performance of the obligations related to a contract;
  • the performance of the legal duties of the Company (resulting from the respective generally biding legal regulations, e.g. in the field of accounting, etc.);
  • the protection of the legitimate interests of the Company (e.g. recovery of claims of the Company, direct marketing);


For the mentioned purposes we are authorized to process personal data even without your consent.  


Provision of personal data necessary for the purposes of the performance of a contract and provision of personal data for the purposes of giving answers to the question asked by you or the information requested by you are our contractual requirement and failing to provide them may result in not entering into a contract or not giving an answer to the questions asked by you. It applies by analogy for the purposes of the performance of the legal duties of the Company.


With your consent, if you have granted it to us, we may use your personal data in order to send you commercial communications, i.e. to inform you about events, publications, performances or services provided by us which you could be interested in according to our opinion.


You may reject your consent to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of sending the commercial communication at any time and it will not have any influence on our other mutual relationships. It is enough to send us an email with a respective request to …… or to another address from which you have received a commercial communication from us.



3) Who has the access to your personal data


We, i.e. the Company, as the controller will process your personal data. We do not trade in your personal data; we do not transfer them to third countries within the meaning of GDPR. For the above mentioned purposes we may transfer your personal data to our sub-suppliers in order to carry out their processing for us. For such a purpose the personal data may be transferred particularly to the following subjects:


  • an external accountant / a tax advisor / an auditor;
  • an external law firm;
  • the processors that provide server, web, cloud, or IT services to the Company;
  • the Company sub-suppliers that are involved in the performance of a contract concluded with you or with a person for which you act / which you represent;
  • a transport company;
  • subjects arranging your payments;



4) Period of personal data processing


In case of personal data provided in connection with a concluded contractual relationship, we will process such data for the period of duration of such contractual relationship and subsequently for the necessary period with respect to the limitation period of mutual claims or the period of liability for defects, not exceeding 10 years after its termination, or for the period necessary for the performance of archiving duties according to the valid legal regulations such as the Accountancy Act, the Act to regulate archiving and record-keeping, or the Value Added Tax Act. We will process the personal data provided on the basis of your consent for the period stated in such consent, however, not later than until such consent is withdrawn by you.



5) Your rights resulting from the processing of personal data


In relation to the processing of your personal data carried out by us you have the following rights:


a)         the right of access to personal data;

b)         the right to rectification;

c)         the right to erasure ("a right to be forgotten");

d)        the right to restriction of the processing of personal data;

e)         the right to object to the processing; and

f)         the right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of personal data.


Your rights are explained hereafter for you to get a clearer idea about their content.


The Company does not have a legal duty to appoint a data protection officer within the meaning of GDPR. You may exercise all your rights so that you will contact us in writing by means of a letter or to the e-mail address


You may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority which is the Office for Personal Data Protection (


The right of access means that you may ask for our confirmation at any time as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed and where that is the case the purpose of the processing, the scope and to whom the personal data have been disclosed, for how long we are going to process them, whether you have the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of the processing or to object, from where we have obtained the personal data and whether based on the processing of your personal data automated decision-making, including possible profiling takes place. You also have a right to get a copy of your personal data; the first provision is free of charge and for another provision the Processor may request a reasonable payment of the administrative costs.


The right to rectification means that you may ask us at any time to rectify or complete your personal data, if they were inaccurate or incomplete.


The right to erasure means that we must erase your personal data, if (i) the personal data are no longer necessary in relation of the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed, (ii) the processing is unlawful, (iii) you will object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or (iv) it is imposed on us by a statutory duty.  


The right to restriction of processing means that until we solve any questions at issue concerning the processing of your personal data we must restrict the processing of your personal data so that we may store them only, and possibly we may use them only for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.


The right to object means that you may object to the processing of your personal data that we process for the purposes of direct marketing or by reason of a legitimate interest.


If you object to the processing for the purposes of direct marketing, your personal data will not be processed for this purpose any more.


This Information Memorandum becomes effective as of May 25, 2018.
